Improvements in or relating to Repeating Mechanism for Watches.

18,590. Leuba, L. W. Sept. 17. Repeating-mechanism is provided in a separate plate D, with auxiliary plate E, so that it can be supplied to any movement by attaching the plate D to the watchplate J and the snails to the motionwork, which protrudes through a central hole in the attached plate. The Figures show a simple hour and quarter mechanism. The wire gongs Y and Z are struck by the hammers M and N, after the opening of the barrel or fusee F, which bears the hour-rack R, has been wound up by pushing a lever G to the hour-snail B. The quarter rack K follows the quarter-snail Q under the influence of a spring, and after the hours have been struck is driven by a finger q on the barrel.
