Improvements in Repetition Mechanisms for Pianofortes.

11,834. Sch÷neck, A. May 23. Pianofortes. - A repetition mechanism for pianofortes is obtained by connecting the pivoted tongues 10, mounted before each hammer butt 1, with the counter check arm 2 and the hopper lever 6 by the cords 14, 13 respectively. The tongues 10 are adjustably mounted in the bearings 11 on the bar 12 extending across the instrument. After the hammer stroke, the tongue 10 lies in front of the butt and prevents the return of the hammer. On the slightest relaxation of the key pressure, the hopper 5 passes under the heel of the hammer butt.
